SECOND POST – JUNE 1, 2012 – SHI’ITE PILGRIMS REMAIN HOSTAGES OF SYRIAN TERRORISTS NEAR ALEPPO DESPITE WHAT SYRIAN PERSPECTIVE WROTE;
Yes, yes, yes. We had it wrong. The Free Syrian Army, which initially commandeered a bus entering Syria from Iraq with a load of Shi’i pilgrims, then, releasing the females and children but keeping the men, wound up turning the men over to a salafist/jihadist terror unit. The men remain hostages in the hands of these killers.
We just listened to Hassan Nasrallah’s speech on the subject carried on Al-Jadid t.v. from Lebanon. There was much frustration in his demeanor and exasperation in his voice. He asked the captors to discourse with him if they had a problem with Hizbollah. He implored them to release their prisoners on humanitarian grounds. But he admonished them by saying that “if you want war, then, so be it”. Let’s hope they opt for war.
SyrPer was correct in reporting that the Turkish government was the first to be alerted to Hizbollah’s demand that the hostages be released. The Turks, however, have no clue as to exactly who the salafists are. Some names have been mentioned (Dandishly and Dandish) in the media, but not in a convincing fashion. The Turks are extremely inept and clumsy. I fear the worst.
Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hizbollah, has warned the terrorist captors of 11 Shi’i male pilgrims that if they want war, “so be it”. He usually means what he says.
