THIRD POST – JUNE 25, 2012 – SYRPER ONLY BRINGS YOU THE FACTS. “ONLY THE FACTS MA’AM”.
Syrian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Dr. Jihad Makdisi, has revealed that the Turkish F-4 fighter-bomber was flying at a low level over Syrian territorial waters about 1.5 kilometers from shore when it was fired upon by regular Ack-Ack cannons. What he did not tell his audience (because he is not a military man) was that the plane was not picked up by Syrian radar. It was flying too low while taking photographs of Syria’s coastal defenses. And what he did not tell you is that the pilots on the plane were not all Turks!! One of the two was an American!
Dr. Jihad Makdisi responds to questions at a press conference. The microphone with “Al-Arabiyya” on it is a reflection of how things have deteriorated in the Near East.
Many of you will ask: “How is it only SyrPer gets this kind of dope?” Well, that’s easy to answer when you’re “in with the in-crowd”. I made a call to a person in Latakia who works in the Air Defense Command. He told me that Syria monitored the planes communications and heard an American on board talking to a land-based Turk with an American-type accent. Obviously, the Turk was a NATO officer. That’s how!
And even more interesting was the fact that the plane was maneuvering in a stealthy pattern at very low altitude at a close distance to Syria’s shores. The information about the pilots did not get to the corporal in charge of the ack-ack system deployed by Syria for low level and proximate targets. The corporal fired reflexively at the plane and hit the mark. He is being awarded the Air Defense Merit medal for his alacrity. He will receive our award also for excellence when we have the change to give it to him.
This is the Pantsyr S1 which was probably used to knock down that pesky Turkish F-4
In the meantime, the Turks are huffing and puffing while observers around the world (not involved in the propaganda) are wondering out loud: “What are you so miffed about?….when you blithering idiots violated Syrian airspace at attack altitude and distance?” F.M. Davutoglu, a real hyper-dwarf, is looking more and more like a buffoon than a diplomat. I mean, what can the Syrians do?
What the Turks did was follow the CIA dictum: “When you look foolish, invent a scandal.” But, what scandal? Let’s see. Hmmm. Let’s invent a large number of officers and their families “defecting” and moving across the borders of Hatay into FSA territory. “People will eat it up, Haluk. It’s high drama!”. I’m afraid not. Turks seem to be taking the whole thing in stride and poll after poll shows they don’t want involvement in the problems to their South. So, then what? Let’s cut off their electricity! That’ll make us real popular.
One sees the Turks thrashing about in the water without a hint of skill or savoire faire. In any case, no Syrian officers and their families have moved into Hatay and asked for asylum. More bs to stuff in your propaganda collection.
My intelligence is that the pilots ejected safely from the plane and landed in Syrian coastal waters. Syria allowed the Turks to enter their waters and get the pilots out. No fanfare because the Turks and the Americans don’t want anybody to know a gringo was on board.
