FIFTH POST – AUGUST 5, 2012 – SYRIAN ARMY THIRD ARMY CORPS TAPPED FOR THE DECISIVE ASSAULT ON TERRORISTS IN ALEPPO. ISLAMISTS MISCALCULATED AND OVERRATED ASSASSINATIONS OF FOUR GENERALS.
All news now comes from Damascus, Homs, Antioch and Latakia. The Syrian authorities have made telephonic and internet communication with Aleppo impossible. But here is what we know:
Former Syrian Colonel and deserter-terrorist, Abdul-Jabbar Al-Oqaidi, has contacted by telephone his “superiors” in Hatay to arrange a plan for his escape from Aleppo. The massing of over 30,000 troops with militia and security forces has dumbfounded the illiterate ranks of the traitor FSA. The calculation was that once the Syrian High Command, made up of Generals Rajiha, Shawkat, Turkmani and Yikhtiar, was assassinated, the assault on Damascus and Aleppo would constitute the “right-left-hook” punch to knock down the entire government infrastructure. And so much for human error.
The Damascus front was fought violently for a few days until the terrorists were forced to seek refuge in Al-Tadamon. But there were few roads out of that suburb and the criminals had to stay there and either fight or surrender. Most were killed. My information is that over 200 Islamist terrorists, some from Libya, were exterminated. A few surrendered. Damascus is now free, for the most part, of these anarchist elements.
My source, Monzer, told me that one of the mistakes made by the largely provincial terrorists is that all Sunnis would side with them once they lost faith in Dr. Assad. That didn’t happen. What happened, if anything, was that most Sunnis lost faith in everything but Dr. Assad.
This rube, who pretends to be a colonel, is one of the FSA’s biggest problems: an untalented officer with dreams of command. He is a certifiable idiot. This is Col.? Abdul-Jabbar Al-Oqaidi. He will be captured…..Or killed. Preferably the latter.
With all roads to Aleppo being sealed by militia and no tunnels having been dug under Aleppo (Cf. Homs), the terrorists can either surrender or die. In the quarters of Hanano and Salahuddine, over 100 were taken prisoner. In a desperate and brazen attack to take over the Aleppo state broadcasting building in central Aleppo, the terrorists used some of their most seasoned combatants to accomplish this. Another big mistake. Confirmed reports are that over 150 terrorists were killed when Syrian army officers on the ground closed all escape routes and picked the rabid dogs off like, well, rabid dogs. Those few who surrendered are now giving info-intel to Military and Air Force Intelligence.
The big battle that’s brewing and which will probably decide the outcome of this theatre is Saif-Al-Dawla. Aleppo is a city of rich and textured history which is why, but for its putrid weather, makes it my favorite of all Syrian cities. Names of suburbs or quarters reflect the regions most prominent personalities: Salahuddine (Saladin) the Ayybid king who is not that much loved by Syrians, Hanano, after Ibrahim Hanano, the fighter for modern Syrian independence, Saif-Uddawla, the Hamdanid king and patron of the arts, Sulaymaniyya, after Sulayman the Magnificent, inter alia. Now it’s going to be Saif-Al-Dawla where the terrorists will establish their ersatz Alamo, their Masada, their dog kennel, and die in it.
The original plan to force the terrorists into the central city failed because American intelligence warned of a repetition of the Hama quarters of Al-Hadhir and Kaylaniyya in February 1982. (Our readers should be reminded that the editor was there both in 1982 and 1983 and knows the events of Hama very well.) I remember the Hama governor’s (Muhammad Harba’s) tart remark that the bombing of the two Hama quarters gave the government an opportunity for “urban renewal”. The Americans could see General Al-Furaij’s plan to bomb the terrorists on the margins and force their move to safety in the central quarters.
But now the Americans are facing a tougher option with their largely undertrained clown army which is running quickly out of ammo. If the full weight of the Syrian army is brought to bear on the few remaining bastions of terrorism, what do you do? One option is the Turkish military. Fat-Sow Clinton is meeting with her Islamist crony, Erdoghan, this week to give him instructions on how to handle this mess. And what to do about the Big Russian Bear swimming in the warm waters off the coast of Syria….Not to mention the huge military of Iran which is tied umbilically to Syria with a “mutual defense pact”. With NATO groveling in Afghanistan and the American population resistant to WWIII over Syria, it is unlikely the criminals will get any succour, any intercession, any hope.
Time to celebrate the assault on Aleppo. I have much more tomorrow. Don’t forget to scroll down for some excellent posts and some great articles. Long live secular Syria under the leadership of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad.
