SECOND POST – JANUARY 8, 2013 – SYRPER’S TINPAN GALLEY PAGE INTRODUCES TINPAN CHEFS

SECOND POST – JANUARY 8, 2013-  SYRIAN PERSPECTIVE INAUGURATES “TIN-PAN GALLEY”.  IT’S OUR GOURMET FOOD PAGE FOR THE YUPPIES IN THE CROWD

Syrian Perspective is proud to host TIN-PAN GALLEY with world-renowned chefs: SNOBBY FILAY, BARRIO FATALI and EPHEMERAL LEGASEOUS.

Our first installment sheds light on Snobby’s unusual taste in home entertainment.

As Snobby famously said once: “Be careful who you cook for”.
Hi everybody.  It’s a great honor for me to be on Syrian Perspective to introduce the very first recipe.  This is one ideally suited for people like myself who can’t stand guests….especially the ones who come over uninvited.  Just last Sunday,  I was invaded by over 14 people who insisted on coming over while I was watching the Giants’ game.  I had to be prepared.  So I made them my very famous:  “Filay’s Artichoke and Dip Appetizer”.
Ingredients:
1 very large Artichoke
1 lb of Twin Swine Cottage Cheese
1 gallon of water from the tap
1 lb of Cayenne Pepper
Directions:  Take artichoke and wash under cold tap water without disturbing the leaves.  Put in middle of large serving tray.
Pour cottage cheese into huge bowl and mix with one gallon of water to insure complete mixing of cheese kernels.
Sprinkle guests with Cayenne Pepper.
Set artichoke and bowl of cottage cheese in front of guests and watch them fight with one another to see who’s going to leave first.  One lady took the medal when she pretended to have a heart attack and then was followed by everyone to the hospital.  Clean-up was easy and I was able to watch most of the game without any further interruption.
BOBBY FILAY OWNS THE WORLD FAMOUS “FILAY’S SUET COUNTER” IN YONKERS, NEW YORK.  HE IS ALSO THE GRANDSON OF THE FAMOUS POETESS, EDNA ST. VINCENT FILAY.  We look forward to his next recipe.
