Have you seen Obama’s ‘non-lethal’ aid to Alqaeda aka FSA aka Jabhat Alnusra or Al Nusra Front aka Syrian rebels aka freedom fighters, known locally as Wahhabi Sex Jihadists?

Media silence on a subject of western zionist aggression COULD also mean an imminent attack in the making, but since Syria is no way near the level of helplessness, misery and chaos required for an attack from the NATO cowards, i think not but we should keep it in mind.

Please! More pictures of these heroes defending their homeland!

Dear Ziad,
I have been reading in your blog for days that the SAA has brought major reinforcements to Aleppo and that in the city itself there are only minor battles because many “rats” have been killed or had to escape to the countryside.
Today I read this on Aljazeera (I don´t believe them much but it´s in total contrast to your statements): http://www.aljazeera.com/video/middleeast/2013/02/20132993254296464.html

Can you please comment?
Does it mean that the SAA has no landroute to supply troops in the west of the city?

BR
Nima

ANSWER:  My dear Nima,  anyone who believes anything in Al-Jazeera is headed for a bad tooth day.  There has not been one true statement about Syria in the Qatari-owned news media for over two years.
We have family inside Aleppo, specifically in the Sulaymaniyya quarter.  They are very well aware of the situation.  Our Intel says that SAA reinforcements come in every day.  The rats cannot close off this city any more than the SAA can totally block each and every rat effort to bring in supplies.  The area of Aleppo is being cleaned up but it’s a slow process due to the nature of this ancient city, its narrow roads and compressed buildings.  Ziad

Another Anonymous note about weapons to the rodents and bearded trolls:

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post “FIRST POST – FEBRUARY 10, 2013 – TERRORISTS LOSE 1…“:

We are hearing a lot of funny things about “Should we arm the rebels?” or “Was Obama right to nor provide weapons to the rebels?”. I have the impression that it’s a fake debate; because if nobody armed those “rebels”, where did they take those weapons first? They purchased it in Turkey, but someone brought them there under the nose of the Americans?
It’s a convenient way to explain their failure; they had MASNPADs, RPGs, tanks, gun machines, explosives, plenty of caches, but since there wasn’t a label “made in the USA” over it that explains their failure?

Ziad, great blog, lots of great info.

Is there a media link you can provide about Jordan sealing the border with Syria and arresting militants?

Thanks.

ANSWER: Yes.  I provided a link a few days ago about that. I can’t remember which day, though. ZAF

Peto, sends this note to us with my thanks:

Dear Ziad,
thank you for your detailed report on the situation at al-Safira. The attack on the right flank of the Aleppo front was a fine piece of work – especially the second push from Aleppo International came unexpected. The northern SAA Task Force has already smashed into Tell’Arn, north of al Safira. The southern force, which came from Khanaser, meanwhile advanced to the southern outskirts of al Safira.

The outcome of this very important battle will have huge impact on the whole area and will open up a number of new possibilities.

Kind regards, Peto

Talk about laconic!!  Here’s one from another Anon.:

Ziad, This article on the Real Syria Updates blog really has my head in a spin: http://syria-updates.blogspot.ca/2013/02/the-unfinished-battle-for-aleppo.html Quote, “In August 2012 the SAA lured the FSA into Aleppo by creating false security blunders. Initially 40 thousand militants; trained and battle hardened in Libya, Afghanistan, Turkey, and other places; came and their numbers continued to mount to roughly 200 thousand in January 2013.” 40,000 to 200,000 of these “rebels” poured into Syria? Is this correct? Or should that be 4,000 to 20,000? I wonder how Homs and Aleppo ended up looking like WW2 Stalingrad. BTW, I am on the west coast… Read more »

For a few weeks I’m reading your blog and although it contains some interesting things, it’s obviously over optimistic and since Sana hasn’t denied the capture of the al-Furat dam and the Jarrah airfield (with several planes there) my conclusion is that the Syrian army is overstretched and that Assad, who had the possibility to ask for more help from Iraq and Iran a long time ago, has made big mistakes and painted himself in a corner. There are videos that show such things and I’m feeling very sad for the Syrians, but I’m afraid that painting a rosy picture… Read more »

Anonymous, I agree with you entirely. Unfortunately, the reality is that the SAA has had losses in the North and East of the country and cannot seem to recover. It is increasingly focussed on holding Damascus, Homs and the coastal area. Hopefully the SAA will be able to regroup but it seems increasingly difficult that it will be able to do so. Paul D.

@Paul: The North East, definitivelly so, but the North, I don’t think so because I believe what Ziad says about Safira and the reinforcments. But the battle for the North will be long and costly; if the Russians don’t move their ass and offer financial assistance (wether disguised as humanitarian help, the same way than the Americans do) Syria could plunge into further chaos.

Well, regarding my last comment on the Jarrah airfield, I supposed that Assad could have ask formore help a long time ago but I can’t be sure if it’s not the Iranians who haven’t offered enough, whatever. Even the Russians. If Russia doesn’t understand that moneyis the key, they have a lot of forex reserves and could help at least financiarelly because if 70,000 volunteers were put on a waiting list because of budgetary constraints, I can hardly blame Assad but more the nations that do not see how Syria is crucial. In short, you have good news but there are… Read more »
