Khaaled Kaasooha

Muhammad Hilaali
Jaassem Fadhlallah
Hussaam ‘Awf
Rabee’ Durraqna (What a peachy fellow he was)
‘Abdul-Kareem Feeshaawi

Al-Raashideen is being cleaned up as I write.  Like Daarayyaa in Damscus, many snipers remain to harry our infantry and security forces.  But it will be complete in another 72 hours.  Great victory for generals Zahreddeen and Al-Dhaaher.

AL-HASSAKA:  Fighting with no details at Al-Sayha, Tuwayna, South Dam Area, Al-Karaama, Al-Khamaa’el and Qaanaa (not to be confused with the Bible’s or Lebanon’s Qaanaa).

IDLIB:  SCENE OF MASSIVE HUMILIATION FOR JABHAT AL-NUSRA AND SALEEM IDREES:

If you want to know why Saleem Idrees stinks as a field commander or strategist, you have to look at his mess in Idlib:

Basanqool:  Liberated completely 2 days ago as SyrPer reported accurately.  A tunnel 500 meters long and 6 meters high was uncovered yesterday by SAA engineers.  Inside, trying to sit out the disaster were 38 rodents, many of whom were foreigners.  According to Wael’s sources, the rats were incapable of mounting an attack and surrendered.  Here is how their nationalities broke down:

3 Jordanians
3 Palesteezians
6 Lebanteezians
2 Turks

The rest were Syrians based on admissions and accents.

Also, the tunnel contained a vast store of RPGs, light assault rifles, drugs and medical equipment stolen from Syrian hospitals.

Ma’ssaraan:  Wael promises details tomorrow.

Sarmeen:  SAF trashes a rat unit from “Liwaa’ Daawood” (yawn) with pinpoint accuracy.  Weapons and ammunition all up in smoke. Sorry, Mr. Idrees, but you’ve got to get better rats:

‘Ahmad Muhammad Dakk-Zaada” (id pending)

Another 6 could not be identified.

Saraaqeb:  Aerial attacks on confirmed rat hideouts followed up by infantry and militia.  It was a Jabhat Al-Nusra nest named after its leader:

Ibraaheem Al-Abrash

IEDs were found inside the small shed they used for cover.  Another 7 could not be identified at this time.

Abu-Dhuhoor:  The airbase.  SAA repels another boring attack. There were confirmed rat fatalities but nobody wants to go out and check the paperwork. Good fertilizer.

Al-Baarra:  Fighting but no details.

Shinaan: Ditto.

Furayka: Ditto.

Nahla in the Areeha area: The little bee.  A unit of SAA take prisoner 4 rats who surrendered.

HOMS
BAAB HOOD: As we reported, all blocks north of the Civil Personal Affairs Building have been cleansed except for remnant snipers.  SAA is in complete control now and SyrPer predicts that within 48 hours, all snakes and vermin in Baab Hood will be dead or surrendering.  Areas south of the Al-Mas’oodiyya School are also purified of rat stink.  The number of vermin killed yesterday and today exceeds 58 according to Wael’s sources.  Good show.

Al-Hissin: Strongly pro-government Christian town.  No details.
Talbeesa: Citadel area and Cultural center. 6 confirmed rat downings.
Al-Rastan Lake:  A lazy little boat filled with ammo was sunk.  The 3 rats tried to swim but couldn’t get to shore before our militia buzzed them back to their aquarium in Erebus.  No names.
Palmyra (Tadmur): An attack by incompetent rats on one of our checkpoints got nowhere but to the gate leading to the express train to Mephisto’s Museum for Malignant Mollusks:

Ghay’qaa’:  Near Palmyra.  8 rats killed.
Burj Qaa’i on Al-Rastan Road: Confirmed 16 rats dead. Most were foreigners.
Jawrat Al-Shiyyaah in the City at the Al-Waleed Complex.  Firefight.  No details.

Al-Bahlooniyya:  Rats from Lebanon try to infiltrate at Tal-Kalakh on motorcycles. No such luck.  5 seen dead.

The following litany about fighting today, 20 Jul 2013, is all coming from http://yallasouriya.wordpress.com/ which in turn is taking it mostly from http://en.shaam.org/index.php/news/local-news. 1. This clip from Deir Ezzor is 7-8 months old 2. Croatia never in history is not produced a 23mm cannon (used only 20mm and 30mm which are in ex YU produced in Bosnia) and the third or fourth time reading nonsense “Croatian 23 mm cannon ” . Never even used 23mm (did not buy from other countries). Everyone knows that Persian Gulf kingdom sent money in Croatia and bought lots and lots of weapons to terrorists (Croatian Army warehouses are almost empty and 2/3 of weapons and ammunition were sent to Syria rats, everyone knows that here), but 23… Read more »

Your comment about Ziad’s clip being old and stale is a good point. I presume you’re correct about the 23mm machine gun. Ziad writes what he’s been told without having the time and other resources to verify it’s correct. More often than not what he’s been told is correct. But Ziad has got a high error rate. If there was any one particular item whatsoever you got from Ziad that you wanted to believe with high confidence to be correct, you’d need to go verifying it from other sources. By the way, your English is pretty good, but as a… Read more »

In the news today: “Activists said opposition forces advanced on the northern town of Khan al-Assal on Saturday and appeared close to seizing one of the last towns in western part of Aleppo province still held by Assad’s forces.”
You forgot that one. I saw the video and it’s nothing impressive, a guy who is shooting with a riffle from far away.
I think they need to keep the moral of their troops with such news sometimes.

@Parviziyi: your an annoying little prick! Obviously your a troll with a lot of free time in hand who spams this blog on a daily basis. This is a blog not a big money media corporation. What excuse do they have to misreport the war in Syria in such a way? None, they are simply the propaganda front for the governments involved in the conspiracy to overthrow the syrian government. What is clearly bothering u, Parviziyi, is that the syrian military is indeed winning the war, as syrper has been reporting and as even mainstream media outlets have been acknowledging.… Read more »

That is the information I received. The 23mm cannons had writings on them that indicated Croat origin. It may be Croatia has such weapons and sold them – as opposed to manufacturing them. Too many readers think of themselves as experts and use terms which are inappropriate like “nonsense”. The only real nonsense is what the western press is publishing. Keep up the good work, tovarish. A pro-rebel commentator quoted at YallaSouriya on 20 Jul 2013: “The Syrian revolution is on life support but don’t blame the Syrians.” (Ref). He wants to blame the outsiders. Mr. Print-Money,

The rats have been so effective because a) the Syrian forces up until now weren’t trained to deal with guerrilla warfare, and b) the rats have been using civilians as human shields.

In the world you inhabit, killing civilians to get at your enemy is perfectly acceptable, but in the moral universe, it’s not.

Human shield tactics remind of of what Nazis did, especially in Soviet Union, they would round up whole village and position them to go in front of their troops as mass-human shield as they would advance, that was quite common.

So much of the superior Nazis (same type of superiority like al-Nusra and USA and co.)

Today is the one-year anniversary of the commencement of the Battle of Aleppo City. On and before 20 July 2012, Aleppo City was orderly and peaceful. The bulk of its citizens did not want to revolt against the government. The rebels boldly took the fight to Aleppo City starting on 21 July 2012. Government supporters initially predicted that the Battle of Aleppo would be largely over in a few weeks (e.g. Walid al-Moallem) (e.g. SyrianPerspective). On 5 Aug 2012 Ziad wrote: “SYRIAN ARMY THIRD ARMY CORPS TAPPED FOR THE DECISIVE ASSAULT ON TERRORISTS IN ALEPPO…. The big battle that’s brewing… Read more »

Just a little detail; the West and the FSA made similar predictions regarding a quick victory on their side.I suggest that one aspect that went wrong was the fact that many sunni Syrians were either neutral or bought the FSA propaganda, so the army had too many fire to extinguish. But as the NY Times reported recently (July, 18): ““If the revolution continues like this, the people will revolt against us,” said a rebel commander from the central city of Homs,”.The Syrian army was not yet trained for urban warfare either, it took time to get equipment from abroad (like… Read more »

The mistake was underestimating how many more rats your buddies could hire. In a guerrilla war, the enemy keeps coming back.

And I disagree that practically all pro-Syrian observers expected the government to take Aleppo by the end of 2012. The Syrian government had its hands full, and many English commentators who wanted some semblance of peace or decency in that part of the world were pessimistic. Some still are.

Hey, Parviziyi, I heard the Syrian pound is back down 140 to the dollar now. Must have been the sound financial advice about cranking out money like there’s no tomorrow that you generously gave. That’s why I call you Mr. Print-Money.

Prediction is an inaccurate science by mere mortals. Ziad is not a military analyst, just a patriot with a blog. And, as I recall, many blabbling idiots mistakingly referred to as “political analysts” kept repeating that “Assad will fall”; chanting it like a mantra, for the past two years and four months. See what I mean?

The phrase سوريا بخير souria bekhair = “Syria is fine” (also translateable as “Syria is well”, “Syria is safe”) was common in pro-government quarters in 2011 and the early part of 2012. Bashar Assad used the phrase in a speech on 20 Jun 2011. A pop song entitled Souria bekhair by singer Hasseen Al-Deek was popular and crowds sang it at pro-government rallies in 2011 (example 12 Jul 2011). There was a TV chat and entertainment program on Syrian State TV called Souria Bekhair (e.g. episode from August 2011). Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper sent a reporter to Damascus on the occasion… Read more »

@ Anonymous Mr Print-Money: The Security Forces are substandard (present tense). To establish this, we have to go down into concrete cases; we can’t talk about it in the abstract. Al-Raqqa City was suddenly taken over by rebels on and about 5 Mar 2013 and remains largely under the control of the rebels today. A couple of times in early and mid-March, I looked at all videos at Youtube I could find that could throw direct or indirect light on the question of the number of rebel fighters in Al-Raqqa. I saw that the number of rebels who were involved… Read more »

To appreciate from a broader viewpoint that the army’s performance is substandard, we need some perspective and agreement on the total numbers of rebels that the army is fighting against. Aggregated numbers are not available, and so everyone’s estimate has to be impressionistic. Bashar Assad gave the following estimate on 30 May 2013 (and my own estimate is in harmony with it): “We are talking about a battle in which hundreds of thousands of Syrian troops are involved against tens of thousands of terrorists, if not more because of the constant flow of fighters from other countries.” (http://sana.sy/eng/21/2013/05/30/485037.htm ). As I said, to talk about substandard, we need some basic agreement about the numbers of rebels that the army is fighting against. If you continue to think for some reason that the rebel fighters are roughly almost as numerous as the army, and army’s only real advantage is the army’s superior weaponry, then naturally we’re going to have difficulty understanding each other. You’re going to think, for instance, that the army simply doesn’t have enough manpower to liberate Al-Raqqa city because there are simply too many rebels swarming all over the country, while I’m saying the failure to liberate… Read more »

PS: Here’s a Promotional Video of a Free Syria Army Tawheed Brigade Military Parade, showing the cost of the continuing dawdling and ineptness by the Syrian Arab Army, 20 Jul 2013. The Tawheed’s tanks in this promo were in all likelihood captured by the rebels from the army, and not carried over to the rebels by army defectors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8sNMDfAqQM.

An excellent article on how the syrian economy was attacked by the central bank of Saudi Arabia: http://www.syrianews.cc/mounting-pressure-syrian-economy/
When you purchase a foreign currency and dump it at the lowest price, you shoot yourself in the foot too but the Saudis had a lot of cash.

Interesting read. It won’t affect Syria’s economy too much because the people are so inured to suffering and the need for patience. Ziad

Syria knows who did what and where, don’t you worry. Times are changing, soon, that due will be ripe for repaying!

Of course, many will have to wait imminent “Yankee-hood” collapse, which is due sooner then many expect.

These foreign men in Syria, fighting & dying in the name of God, are they true Muslims? I dont think so. Muslims who observe the practices of their beloved prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) will never fight in Ramadan. And that is how they should be – go back to where they came from, and perform their jihad (struggle) by helping their families, and neigbours and fellow Muslims who are jobless, orphans, sick, and needy in their own countries. Their deaths in a foreign land fighting for a fuzzy cause, killing other Muslims, are meaningless – whilst their fellow… Read more »

You are so right and morally correct.

The Almighty and some ZOGs know why those
half brain-damaged and second half brain-washed
sociopaths from so many countries are magnetically
attracted to Syria behaving like mass-murdering
chaotnics and lemming-like zombie-cohorts.
All for “a fistful of Dollars” and
with the tiny rest of their undamaged brain
full of idiotic criminal blasphemous ideas.
