Mr. Al-Baqami as he was last seen on National Geographic.

Great Update Ziad, and great interview. I’m glad to hear more and more people getting a proper perspective for what the truth is. Dudley sending warm tidings to everyone. Great to see continued progress. Speaking further of the cave dwelling Gulf Arab neolithic hillbillies, see below for a disgusting poetic narrative by a demonic Saudi cleric / poet. In his retardedly disjointed manner, he excretes a poem excoriating the Russians for their support of Assad, lauding hitler for his achievements. A poetic temper tantrum if you will. An article on it appeared on Glenn Beck’s news site. It was a… Read more »

I quit visiting this blog back in August and I intend to keep it that way. But a sentence from Bashar Assad in his interview with Der Spiegel reminded me of a point I was making on this board back in early August. Assad said on 6 Oct 2013: “When we [the Syrian army] liberate a certain area, as we have done in many areas of Syria, it doesn’t mean that we are winning, because the terrorists withdraw to another area and destroy it.” http://sana.sy/eng/21/2013/10/07/506130.htm. With Assad himself saying this clearly, I hope pro-government supporters will be better predisposed to… Read more »

“…the vain gloating and triumphalism that goes on at this blog is ill-founded…” is your reading of this blog and a perfectly legitimate point. My response to that perspective is to suggest that elements of “vain gloating and triumphalism” are simply aspects of the desire to be supportive of the legitimate government of Syria and that the purpose of this blog is to seek to counter the disinfo, psyops, msm manipulations and outright lies, scams and staged events of all kinds (mixed in with genuine events and images). It appears to me that this blog works on many levels and… Read more »

@parviziyi .. when Assad says ‘When we [the Syrian army] liberate a certain area, as we have done in many areas of Syria, it doesn’t mean that we are winning,” It doesn’t means they are losing the war either. ^^^A war is not won until it ends and one side is a clear winner. Assad says that ..simply because US ,Turkey, Qatar , Saudi Arabia and the Israeli Thugs , continue sending thousands foreign terrorist to fight in Syria every couple of months or so,.So is not a local war by any remote stretch of imagination. That you quit visiting my blog is proof of its popularity. Since August, we have picked over 400,000 readers and many members. Your reasoning is typical of the perennial loser. The logic is unfathomable. Our army has crushed the rats at Al-‘Utayba, Al-Qusayr, Tal-Kalakh, Ma’loolaa and so many other places. That you cannot see that is testimony to your inferior ability to appreciate reality. In any case, our army just liberated Khanaasser. And please, stay away from our blog. ZAF

In continuation from my earlier comment, Bashar Assad did an interview with Tishreen newspaper which was published today. A transcript in English is at http://sana.sy/eng/21/2013/10/09/506486.htm . Here’s a question that was asked by Tishreen: “Mr. President, the Syrian street is increasingly suffering from the lack of security and safety…. Are there radical solutions for these worrying problems particularly that the war against terrorism can go on for years?” Bashar in his answer makes no mention of military strategy or tactics by security forces, and instead he says: “We need to stop depending on others and take responsibility; there are groups… Read more »

Victor, can you name a single country in the world where this is different? For example people come with a few 100 000$ net worth into the US Congress and leave it with millions sometimes hundrets of millions in net worth.
Did you forget to mention this or is it just the normal double standard and hypocracy?

It could be EMP bombs. Is common knowledge Russia have been working for a long time more than any country in development of such technology . and is at least decades ahead of the west.. and probably those weapons were given to Syria for its defense in case of a major war.

Weapons that can destroy an entire city electrical circuits and burn the electrical hardware of any military weapons ,tanks or combat jet.. without harming any living thing..

and for anyone that thinks this is science fiction..
USA is also working with the technology but still is in very early stages..

Following up on where these Jihadis are coming from, did anyone notice the alleged nephew of Tunisian Prime Minister Ali Laarayedh was killed in Syria? Tunisia is where the “Arab Spring” was launched and I am wondering: who are the Imams and what mosques in Tunis are these radical Islamic Jihadis being launched out of?

The BBC dubbing story is a beatup and not true at all. The two clips used to allege dubbing are actually different takes of the same piece to camera. You can see the arms of the guy in the yellow fluoro jacket are in different places. What happened is they did the same piece to camera twice – maybe the cameraman didn’t like the sun in the background? She said essentially the same thing only changed napalm into ‘chemical weapon’ meaning White Phosphorus or similar incendiary. No big deal. Incidentally there are no records of the SAA ever using White… Read more »

Have a look at this short but extremely violent video clip of SAA (militia?; NDP?; Hezbollah?) dragging dead and wounded Jihadi Islamic terrorists out of the back of a truck then shooting them. It doesn’t appear the Syrian military are too favorable to taking prisoners.

Dear Varangian, I cannot affirm or disaffirm that the actors in this tape are SAA. I can tell you this: The SAA is under orders to kill all foreign terrorists. There is no protection for foreign rats. Also, be advised that deserters are shot on the spot by SAA once their identities have been cleared by MI. This is the military law of Syria and all other nations. Deserters are pure scum and should be killed on the spot. However, since I do not know who the prisoners are, I can only speculate. I don’t feel comfortable doing that. Thanks… Read more »

Weather or not thats the SAA or just actors.., it could be understood that the SAA will not be nice with the people that shoot at them and kill civilians and their friends, specially if they are foreigners.. But as a matter of fact the Syrian army takes many prisoners.. that surrender.. including foreigners.. it depends a lot on how they surrender and or the mood of the unit. What will be wrong however is generalize the entire SAA or claim is a government policy to shoot at people that surrender. If you ever at all Ziad updates you will notices… Read more »

Fully endorse that bro … FSA supporters always painting the LEGITIMATE SYRIAN GOVT. as if it is more barbaric than the cannibals. I mean, if you’re injured FSA etc then death at the hands of SAA is to be expected. If they keep them prisoner they use up all kinds of resources and there is the possibility of having to fight the same individuals (post prison break a la Iraq) again. Also, the cannibals prefer to saw off heads and limbs of their live victims. At least these rats were dispatched quickly and, presumably, relatively painlessly. Good viewing tho, just… Read more »

The Israeli DEBKA says SAA is ready to take the strategic rebel-held town of Khan Arnabeh, which is the key to controlling the main highway from the capital, Damascus Syrian Golan. The town is expected to fall within a short time. http://www.debka.com/article/23339/Syrian-tanks-lay-siege-to-key-rebel-held-town-athwart-Damascus-Golan-highway “Western military sources report that the rebels are fighting half-heartedly in other battle sectors across Syria with little spirit to do more than hold their ground.” A lot of visitors here are simple individuals with absolutely no connection to the Syrian Baath party, but with sympathy to the Syrian people that are facing a foreign plot against their country.
