With even the “Syrian” Observatory admitting heavy losses and encirclement in around Damascus one can see how things are going… hope to hear more soon!

…as I’d hope to see a map of the overall situation in Syria as it is now…

A bad week all round for the Flinstones in the KSA and their sidekicks Israel viva Iran Looking at the conflict as an outsider, i think the Terrorist hoards, or should i say some of the less committed are throwing the Towel in, the fact that they keep on issuing grand statements about unified command blah blah fools no one, and changes nothing where it matters, on the Field of Battle They need a spectacular other than Suicide Pilots, and at this point, i don’t know where it’s coming from. Thanks for the informative post as always Ziad.

One question: What are we too make of the alarming uptick in recent claims of FSA/al-Qaeda battle victories around the country? It is very concerning..
I console myself, however, with the thought that if there was a REAL change in momentum taking place on the ground – in light of increasingly desperate Saudi and Qatari efforts – Iran would just send in 20,000 of its own soldiers to confront these salafi/wahabi/Zionist cave-apes and end this thing once and for all. Am I off the mark?

Best wishes from Des Moines.

there are no battle victories. no matter what they do the rebels cannot win. how can a rabble of 50,000 beat an army of 500,000 with an airforce, navy and powerful allies? it is laughable. grow up for fucks sake.

“..grow up..”? Always amusing the attitudes some people can get when they’re ‘anonymous.’ Although we both seem to support the Syrian government in this war you sound like a ripe idiot with your over-simplified perspective and random numbers. The message was for Ziad anyway.

The pro rebel media has entered a phase where false victories are given traction and losses are hidden, going into a complete contradiction to pro government media and international media which, depending on the sources will follow and report the battle trends with certain accuracy, even if belated.

If one is to read the pro rebel media exclusively at this point, the Syrian government is about to fall and is being routed at every turn. Anyone can be caught up in the deception if one ends up drawing information from such sources.

And speaking of zionazi freakazoids: Extremist Israeli settlers storm al-Aqsa Mosque http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/11/24/336430/israeli-settlers-storm-alaqsa-mosque/ “Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers have desecrated the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem), which is the third holiest site in Islam, when they stormed the mosque through Bab el-Magharbeh. Reports say the settlers were led by the extremist Rabbi Yehuda Glick who heads the so-called Temple Mount Heritage Foundation. The Sunday incident comes after a similar event on October 15, when a number of Israeli settlers stormed the mosque under army protection. Meanwhile, a report published by the al-Aqsa Foundation in October, said the Israeli regime is… Read more »

Map shows NSA’s massive worldwide malware operations http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/11/24/336449/map-shows-nsa-massive-malware-operations/ “A new map details how many companies across the world have been infected by malware by the National Security Agency’s team of hackers, and where the companies are located. Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad reports the NSA uses malware to infect, infiltrate and steal information from over 50,000 computer networks around the globe. This new, previously unreported scope of the NSA’s hacking operation comes from another PowerPoint slide showing a detailed map of every infection leaked by former contractor Edward Snowden. The practice is called “Computer Network Exploitation,” or CNE for short, and… Read more »

America’s little spy helpers down under create an uproar http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/11/25/336511/americas-little-spy-helpers-create-uproar/ “…Aussie intelligence was also spying in the very same senior Indonesian cabinet officials who, like the president, are regarded as staunch allies of the US and Australia. This electronic spying was part of the by now notorious, top secret Five Eyes joint intelligence operation between the US, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – aka “the white man’s spy agency.” Five Eyes is run by the US National Security Agency; its other Anglo-Saxon members act as loyal junior partners, spying on their neighborhoods and, often, their own people. Reports on cutting off Aleppo-Khanaser highway denied

“Aleppo, (SANA)- A military source on Sunday denied news circulated by some media outlets that are involved in the shedding of the Syrians’ blood on cutting off Aleppo-Khanaser highway.

The source stressed in a statement to SANA that such reports are “completely baseless” and aim to raise the terrorists’ morale that are on the decline under the strikes of the Syrian army soldiers.

The music accompanying that video of those terrorists firing their missile into the ground, Keystone Cops style, sounded familiar. I think Saudi also has 2 armor brigades near the Jordan/Syria border, kindly requested by the King I’m sure.
But the thing is, any attack by a neighbour on Syria will immediately bring in Iran and Russia, and you’ll get something between a regional and WW3. This is not 1990 any more. Also missiles trump any tanks if you’ve got enough of them.

How can SAA allow this…

Pro-regime Al-Watan newspaper said the army was deploying troops in the majority Christian town of Deir Attiyeh, north of Damascus, “in preparation to take it back” from rebel hands.

Located in the strategic area of Qalamoun along Lebanon’s border, Deir Attiyeh was taken over last week by rebels, among them jihadists.

I’ve stated in my humble opinion that 1) the quality of jihadis has been going downhill and to get sufficient numbers it would take a long time, or they are left to send in waves of a few hundred or thousand savages at a time to get liquidated2) short of direct western military intervention with a massive bombing campaign the war for the rats is essentially unwinnable. At this point I think ( and hope and pray ) that their efforts are like pouring water into a bucket with a hole in it. IT is merely a protracted terror campaign… Read more »
