Yabrood: I have a report from Damascus that indicates Syrian soldiers have been spotted inside the southern margins of Yabrood. According to Monzer, these were probes. The defenses of Yabrood are much compromised because of shelling from artillery and aircraft. Many of the terrorists inside have been either killed, taken prisoner or have manage to slide past the choke-hold around the city. In fact, it appears that the escape by Abu Maalek Al-Kuwayti who is holding the nuns hostage was accomplished by agreement so that the nuns would not be killed, as he had threatened.
We have information also from SANA that SAA troops are inside Yabrood at Al-Saalihiyya Neighborhood and Tallat Al-Qooz. Many terrorists have been killed in these engagements including:
Al-Zabadaani: Fighting continues in the eastern mountains:
‘Abdul-Rahmaan Muhammad Muhriz
Wasseem Muhammad Namoos
It may be that Yabrood will be liberated before I return from my trip. See you soon.
NEWS AND COMMENT:
