JAWBAR FALLING TO SAA; ARMY REACHES ZAMALKAA BRIDGE; TERRORIST FORTIFICATIONS COLLAPSING; RATS IN FRENZIED WITHDRAWAL

We can report with absolute confidence that the Syrian Army plan to demolish the vast and complex network of tunnels inside Jawbar (tunnels were interconnected) has finally bore fruit.  The Syrian Army has advanced over 1 full mile in the northeastern area of Jawbar with a width of 1/2 mile stretching from the Pullman Station all the way to the Zamalkaa Bridge.  THE SYRIAN ARMY HAS NOW COMPLETELY SURROUNDED THE JAYSH AL-ISLAM AND NUSRA RATS INSIDE.  There are no more resupply routes available from ‘Irbeen and Zamalkaa.  The Syrian Army has also reached the Al-Tayyiba Mosque where the command-and-control center was located.  It has been reduced to vapor.  The Fateena Tower was destroyed by the rats as they withdrew to new positions because it afforded the SAA unparalleled vision over the entire area.  It is reported in both SANA and by Monzer that the terrorist reformations are haphazard and anarchic.  Panic has set in as they are functioning without any central command.

Syrian Perspective can predict confidently that the liberation of Jawbar is only days away although it is expected that the Nusra rodents, who are made up of mostly die-hard jihadists, will try to linger until they are killed by our soldiers.

My cappuccino tastes even better after reading this! SAA keep on pushing!
I have been hearing rumours from a friend that the government is training a new military force of close to 100,000 men which will be reading after the new year. Is this true or just a Rumour? I did not find a single source online to prove this claim, but someone told me about this after visiting Latakia a few weeks ago.

What’s Arab got to do with it Ark? Syria is sewn with the blood of Armenians and sacred to them. I’m disappointed we haven’t seen more Armenian involvement and political support for Syrian gov. Admittedly Armenia is a poor country, but diaspora is much more influential, and political support matters.

I have searched for ways to join some sort of foreign dovision, but didn’t fnd anything. I also find it hard to believe that there is some sort of secret army being trained, since they muust be focused on filling posts in all battle fronts, wich are very weared out. But hey, if it is true, it’s great news, my toughts are with the Syrian people and the Syrian arab army, GO SAA!!! Where do you enlist?

Can´t wait to see the glorious SAA taking over that fucking piece of terrain infested by miserable and ugly rats come from the four corners of the planet. But awaiting can be pleasant too, as the final victory will, for sure, taste even better than we thought at first moment. We can´t ignore the huge importance of this operations which are taking place because surely the conquest of all Eastern Gouta will allow to redeploy a high… Read more »

‘Even animals don’t do it’: Kobani siege survivors on ISIS brutality http://rt.com/news/197232-rt-survivors-isis-kobani/ A Kurdish activist and his wife, who have witnessed ISIS atrocities in Kobani for several months and documented some on photo and video, met RT’s Murad Gazdiev to speak about what they’ve seen. I was wondering if you knew, does the SAA have an extensive training program for new recruits? Do they draft all available males in mandatory call ups? In Wiltshire, there is Tidworth for training English troops and in America there is Camp Lejune, in the Carolinas for their soldiers. Armoured troops stay for months in Tidworth training. Maybe I have not read past posts thoroughly, but I do not recall this question ever being mentioned. I certainly hope all SAA troops have decent training before being thrown into the mix. The enemy is insidious and very skilled. Thanks for your… Read more »

Alex: SAA does have an extensive training program, beginning with boot camp and on up through completion of specialty training. As far as I know, enlistment is only available to Syrian citizens, but I don’t know if they have mandatory service. Camp LeJeune is a Marine Corps base, the boot camps are MCRD Parris Island and MCRD San Diego. I don’t know about SAA, SAAF and SAN training before the war started, but it”s not too hard to figure out that poorly trained troops tend to get killed a lot. Even then, it’s pretty axiomatic that the polished combat skills… Read more »

Arklight, it gives me the impression that the old terrorist groups in Syria, meaning FSA, Nusrats and IF are wearing off their best ones, mainly the previous SAA soldiers that shifted sides and some foreign military trainined rats, you can tell the new waves are not as well trained, though they have better weapons than in 2011, 2012 and 2013. On the other side, the core ISIL group is basically ex Iraqi Army troops, mostly made of Republican Guards (the best IA troop up to 2003), they have plenty of military experience that can tell by their success in taking… Read more »

ISF and volunteers are killing the local commanders at a pretty good clip and, although they are still having command failures (from one cause or another) they are going head to head with ISIL and gaining ground. IS has to move experienced troops from Syria to Iraq for the push on Baghdad; so far they recaptured Hit, Hit Base was evacuated with the force being withdrawn to Haditha. Arlight, lets see whether Lavrov “walk the talk” on the delivery of large scale weapons for Syria and Iraq. Today’s news.

(RIA Novosti)

#Moscow is continuing to aid #Syria and #Iraq in the fight against #terrorism, including large-scale deliveries of weapons, #Russian Foreign Minister Sergei #Lavrov said Monday.

“We are continuing to aid the governments of Iraq and Syria, as well as other countries in the region in the fight against religious #extremists that are fighting for power, and [this] includes supporting these governments with large-scale deliveries of weapons and military equipment so as to increase their fighting capacity,” Lavrov said.

Canthama – I WAS WRONG! I publicly apologize and admit that I have been over-skeptical. I have recently seen more than enough confirmation (including Mr Lavrov’s open admission) of Russia’s support of Syria and of Iran’s support for Hezbollah. Their support has always been there and will continue. Their diplomatic posturing is just part of ‘the great game’ and unlike bold aggressors like the US and NATO, Russia and Iran have (up till now) chosen to be very discreet in these ‘covert’ operations and their public admissions to them. All of you please accept my apologies. I’m not too cut… Read more »

A few days late here with this. you guys who are more informed militarily might be able to answer this. Why do we see so many videos of syrian forces in action not using helmuts, I thought they would be an advantage in urban warfare to protect oneself from sniping, shrapnel or concrete exploding around them? I can understand the jihadists not having them as regards supply or even because of some mad religous belief.

Alex, I believe Arklight covered it well. One additional thought is that the regular training for the SAA prior to this conflict did not cover the urban warfare we see it daily, that had to be adapted on the go, it took time, basically 2011 and 2012 to get things moving, but certainyl in 2013 and 2014 the SAA has been preparing new waves of soldiers more adapted to this tough environment. Today we heard from a Syrper reader a comment around 100.000 new soldiers being trained for the end of the year, if that is true it would be… Read more »

Jimmy: Hezbollah has done a lot for Syria, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all. Hezbollah still has combat units in the Aleppo operational area, as far as I know IRGC is still training the NDF (ADF too?), or that Syrian aviators are receiving training in Russia. I’d suspect that the Russians are training pilots in the Su27, Mig29 and Mig31, but that’s just a guess. I hope it’s all true, and that Syria comes out the other side even leaner and meaner, militarily, than it was going in.

Jimmy, both info are correct, Iranians trained and formed the NDFs in Syria in 2012, since then Syria can manage better when advancing SAA troops liberate cities, NDF controls them, but NDF has also improved toward front line battle groups and is engaging in several fronts now. Hizbullah has helped Syria beyond joint efforts in Qalamoun and other front lines, Hizbullah has helped the SAA in close combat, urban warfare and guerrilla tactics. Russia trained in 2014 100+ SAAF pilots, this has been MO for Russia and Syria and continues strongly, the cooperation between both countries goes beyong airforce, a… Read more »

I would help building bunker buster bombs, or at least a homemade version of them, but I can’t since Im studieng XD. Well I think the basics are simple: 1- make a 100 kilogram explosive container, conic-shapped, with a time fuse in it, that can be activated from the outside. 2-make shour the container is strong enough to break trough other materials. 3- ad wings to the wider part of the bomb, wich is the back side of, so it falls on it’s nose. 4- ad a separate exposive charge at the back of the bomb where the wings are.… Read more »

Syrian kurds affiliated with PKK get crushed between Iraqi Peshmerga and ‘Daesh’. Maybe now there is a chance – and just in time – that syrian kurds and PKK side with the syrian people and government and declare this in public. Of course, it would be too good to be true from the point of view of syrian resistance and I have to admit that I have no insights into – past and contemporary – relations between the syrian kurds, PKK, the syrian people in general and the government.
