Outstanding news in central/eastern Homs, the SAA must indeed give priority to clean Homs and Hama from ISIS, it is very troublesome to have them so close to main centers and blocking free flow of people in those areas. Lots of ISIL rats attempting attacks in the oil and gas fields are coming from the villages occupied by ISIL in Homs, hopefully, the SAA this time will clean them all and put pressure at Raqqa province border.

Hallo and good evening,

the Zio- masterminded Esel-daydream of controlled chaos strategy
vanish from day to day being a flop per se as predicted. Ludicrous
exaggerated ciphers about all the terror miscarriages circulating in
so-called news can’t overcome the truth of their disastrous defeat.

So, soon we will see the real enemies breaking cover.

It’s another part of Moaz al-Khatib’s wrangling to become PM under a new ‘transitional’ government, with Assad remaining as a sidelined figurehead for a few years. This ‘confession’ of dubious sincerity can best be considered as a prerequisite part of his job application to become acceptable to Iran and Russia.

And what about northern Hama? There were great gains until the ISIS beaches launched their attack toward the east of Homs province. Will Lataminah or Kafr Zita be free of rats in a near future?

Just want to say how much I support the SAA in their difficult campaign against those Wahhabist Rats.

I have been posting on this site for a few years now and still the war doesnt seem closer to ending. What a dreadfull situation for the real people of Syria. I only hope the SAA can finally end this nightmare once and for all. Brave warriors they are for sure.

Greeting from a friend of Syria from Holland!!

Sadly here’s a twist on the American war-making MO, “we had to destroy the village to save it”. By external design, Syria was to be destroyed ‘in order to save it’. Assad and SAA had no choice but to ante up. Unfortunately the choice was moot – if the government were to capitulate the country would be destroyed by default. So the sad choice is a bitter one – to fight back, one must also take part in the destruction. Regardless, the enemies of Syria, can claim a punitive victory if nothing else. After all has been done, this war… Read more »

Does anyone know

how many rats die on average in a month in Syria ?

Who controls the rats, who do surrender to the SAA, from not going back to the rats.?

It is frustrating that no solid numbers are available so far in this war. You get bits and pieces of casualty information but seldom a grand total for a campaign. The Komane fighting has apparently killed over 700 ISIL fighters in a month but that is hardly a total for the entire country. I saw today Prime Ministe Manuel Valls of France announced that 50 French ISIS fighters have been killed so far and 1,000 total French fighters are in Syria now. Years after this is over, the intelectuals will debate how many died just like they still do about… Read more »

The SAA had about 30k official dead in two years of war, that includes the initial bunglings when soldiers were still inexperienced and surrendered, only to be beheaded That means more than 1000 soldiers die every month, I would hope some more rats also do. This is likely, as rats also fight among themselves, which the SAA is not noted for, I would guess at about 2000, but there is no way to prove this. Recently a Kurd commander told Western media he thinks that ISIS has potentially 200k under arms as opposed to the official 30k. This is all… Read more »

Thanks for the answers.I am convinced that much more rats have died than SAA soldiers. So…. much more than 50.000 rats have died so far in this 3,5 years of fighting. wow…what a lot of people are wiling to die for some zionist jews. And still they think that Allah will send them to paradise. How ironic is that.

Syrian army retakes al-Shaer gas field http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/11/syria-shaer-gas-field-army-control.html# HOMS, Syria — Following fierce battles, the Syrian army recaptured the al-Shaer gas field from the Islamic State (IS) Nov. 6, for the second time. IS fighters had taken control of the field, 110 kilometers (68 miles) east of Homs, and the surrounding hills at the end of October. Al-Monitor visited al-Shaer on Nov. 7. The fight for the territory caused significant destruction to the gas field’s facilities, especially the main plant, which feeds into the Hayan gas field, from which gas is distributed to networks along the coast and to the south.… Read more »

That Al-Monitor article on the Al-Shaa’er gas field is quite interesting. It reveals a three-fold ISIS strategy in central Syria: 1. Control of al-Shaer and its surrounding hills would allow ISIS to secure expansion toward rural Homs and Hama. 2. Control of the Palmyra region threatens nearby military airports, which would be ISIS’ next target after the field and its hills. 3. Control of the gas field would have enabled ISIS to control the electricity sector in Syria, which relies heavily on gas. If they achieved these three goals they would be well on the way to destroying most of… Read more »

Please consider using a map. A map could tell you that such a strategy could not work since any resourceful General (both material and in mind) would know that it is imperative to take first Tadmur (Palmyra) region before you could consider such adventure. Most likely the first “taking” of “Shaer gas field” was taking empty space. And the number of ‘beheaded Syrian military’ was just gross. Mind that in the desert there is not just one single road that the enemy could not replace while attacking. Mind that in the desert there is no place to hide where the… Read more »

i have heard the syrian army has a secret and very sophisticated tunnel network throughout the country? i suppose they use it for hiding their best weapons. and for tactical weapons eg missiles. it has been estimated that syria has only used 10% of its total military power so far in this conflict

david: You’ll hear that about most modern countries, generally without real foundation because a tunnel network of that size is prohibitively expensive. They probably do have some tunnels, but a comprehensive network? I doubt it.

This article is from June 25, 2013 Syria and the Monarchs: A Perfect Storm by Conn M. Hallinan June 25, 2013 http://www.internationalpolicydigest.org/2013/06/25/syria-and-the-monarchs-a-perfect-storm/ America’s decision to directly supply weapons to the Syrian opposition may end up torpedoing the possibility of a political settlement. It will almost certainly accelerate the chaos spreading from the almost three-year old civil war. It will also align the U.S. with one of the most undemocratic alliances on the planet, and one that looks increasingly unstable. In short, we are headed into a perfect political storm. Use of drones against Islamic State changes the meaning of warfare http://www.kentucky.com/2014/11/19/3548062/use-of-drones-against-islamic.html The airmen – the title applies to female pilots, too – can’t agree among themselves whether they’re at war. Some think they should qualify for a coveted combat patch – right now they don’t – while others say it’s harder to fight a war when one is not actually there. They say they must resist thinking they’re playing a video game. “We are not going to get a perfect answer in the theater we are operating in,” Col. Cyprus on lookout for Syria-bound militants Cyprus has intensified screening procedures at its ports, airports and checkpoints to prevent Europeans from passing through the country en route to Syria to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a security official said. The security official said that since Turkey has tightened security measures to stem the flow of potential jihadis to Syria, it is possible that Europeans could travel to the island of Cyprus, cross into the breakaway Turkish Cypriot north, then head into Syria that way. The official spoke on condition of anonymity Wednesday because he didn’t want… Read more »

ISIS Is Now In Libya “…They are well on the way to creating an Islamic emirate…” http://www.westernjournalism.com/isis-now-libya/#BPUUD4bFdRhDGPpS.99 ISIS now officially has a stronghold in Libya- the coastal city of Derna. ‘Barqa’ is Libyan, i.e. it is from the great general of the Carthaginians, one of Hannibal’s finest.
Pity these LIFG scum should use it. Barca was not Muslim, not Arab, but his line was from the Lebanon (Phoenicia).
