SYRIAN ARMY REACHES INTO DOUMAA AS RAT DEFENSES FALL APART

Syrian Army Liberates More Villages in Hasaka Province

DAMASCUS:

‘Aliya Farms:  Right on the northern fringes of Doumaa, the quintessential lair for the uncharismatic loser, Zahraan ‘Alloosh, the Syrian Army is cutting through terrorist defenses like the proverbial knife through butter.  We can confirm that huge areas of the Al-‘Aliya Farms have been secured and the army is now in a position to begin the final assault on Doumaa itself.  Terrorist sympathizers have announced the deaths of 23 rodents. But, they are wrong, as always. The SAA has reported 47 carcasses scattered in the area.  The number of wounded and fleeing rats darting into Doumaa for protection is in excess of 500.  Here are some of the named dead:

Ziyaad Billih

Hussayn Al-Haaj-Hassan

Tayseer Al-Jundi

Muhammad Raslaan

‘Abdul-Kareem Fayyaadh

Mahmoud Al-Mahbaan

Mugheera Al-Saqqaal

Hundreds of IEDs were discovered in addition to a tunnel used for moving rats around the area.

You think the ‘king’ of Jordan is a friend of the Syrian government? Like Clinton was a friend of Ghadaffi, no?

All Bashar can expect from such ‘chums’ is a handful of daggers twisted in his ringpiece, so I’m saying he should not try to climb into bed with them, but rather confront them squarely with a bloody nose at the earliest transgression, of which there have already been more than plenty from Jordan.

Not at all, I am consistent in lambasting 1. the political incompetence of Assad … by either ordering or permitting the disproportionate early reaction, he mercilessly made an enemy of a significant slice of the population, unnecessarily burning half the bridge upon which he stood, while always bending over backwards to try and finagle some rotten compromise with the real external enemies. He’d have done much better to mollify and placate his own people while resolutely rebuffing all the outside interference from e.g. the UN and House-Arab League. Well, reasons for this slowness are well-known by now. They cannot take the losses that would come from storming urban fortresses with fighters trained by NATO for such warfare. In fact any army would try to avoid this. Even without bombers they in fact have the hardware to blow the towns and urban fortifications up but fact is that they do not do this because of civilians that are there. Stick and carrot i.e surround them and offer amnesty has proven effective. They cannot do like the Americans or Israel and just destroy everything – its their country. With Russian… Read more »

Notice how Russia is using envoys from the Belarus foreign ministry to influence Damascus especially on the eve of De Mistura’s visit, playing on the theme that Belarus is also a ‘rogue’ state and thus ‘understands’ what it is like to be ‘isolated’ or in need of options. This proves that trust between Putin and the Syrian government is not very high and that the Syrians have finally woken up to the insidious role Putin is playing on behalf of Syria’s enemies. It would be wise to see the Belarussian diplomats in the same light, as agents of Putin and… Read more »

It makes no sense for Russia to play on Belarus, one of its few official military and economic allies, as a ‘rogue’ state.

It seems as much as anything else that they are angling for post-war reconstruction projects, which seems a little premature, but I suppose they are operating on the assumption that *if* Assad wins there won’t be much competition [allowed] from the surrounding nations who supported the rebels, whereas, if he doesn’t, they won’t be winning any tenders anyhow, so they have nothing to lose by this effort to drum up a bit of new business.

It makes perfect sense. The perception of Belarus as a rogue state gives the Russians another angle in their diplomatic pressure on Syria to capitulate to Yanki terms, otherwise known as Geneva 2. They will say (using Belarus as a front for a kind of pragmatic dictatorship) that you can still fight terrorism but you need to come to a political solution (Geneva 2) urgently as the US is readying to attack you in order to force you into a political solution. They will point out that you can still cut deals with the West and have your regime survive… Read more »

I see what you mean and admit it is remotely possibility, but honestly am not convinced it is the case here.

At the same time, if Assad is so woken up, why did he not push on in December and close the imminent encirclement of Aleppo, instead of stalling it at the request of ‘insidious Putin’?

He has for some time been in the invidious position of having to rely a little too much on his few allies, even if they are quite half-hearted about his cause and/or personal survival.

Aleppo is being set up as the trigger for intervention at least from the Turkish side, recently we have heard Kerry and Fabius mention that everything must be done to prevent Aleppo ‘from falling’. The Syrian gov knows very well that while it must recapture Aleppo and its countryside from NATO-Turkish occupation they are under no illusions that a such a thing will lead to an intervention. That is why i believe they are being careful and choosing the right time for themselves, the current stage seems to me to be the manuevering before an all out conflict. Yes this… Read more »

3. Of course I don’t think it is all one-sided.

For example, I think if the FSA had only had the brains to not shack up with their sugar-daddies in NATO and the House-Arab League, but kept their opposition to Assad a purely internal Syrian affair, they’d have stood a much better chance of political, if not military, success, and at a much lower casualty and destruction count.

But they unfortunately allowed themselves to be seduced and corrupted by the world’s major warcriminals to be a stooge for another quick and dirty ‘regime change’ operation which has gone spectacularly wrong.

FSA is a myth, a mercenary army trained, financed and dropped in Syria to destroy the country for 2 reasons. 1- If Iran is the body of the resistance and Hezbollah the hand at the throat of Israel then Syria is the Right arm of this resistance. I don’t believe Egypt can afford to do nothing if Syria was attacked even if its government wished to do nothing. By the way if you look at Sisi’s support base it is made up of traditional Arab nationalists, so being complicit or doing nothing at all in the event of aggression on Syria would be political suicide for Sisi. “there is no force on the ground which could attack Syria” … except, perhaps, for about a dozen notable armies already in the country, who do little else.

But, yes, I agree that a land invasion by regular armies from neighbouring nations appears less likely than ever. They will stick to being air cover for their surrogates-du-jour.

I agree with most of what has been stated, are undeniable historical truths , but you must recognize that it is a difficult proposal to implement , you can not change the way they see themselves as Syrians from one day to other, even less in the middle of an infamous war. Some time ago I mentioned that something good out of this war is that is emerging a strong nationalism in Syria , to be channeled, since it goes beyond regional and religious differences. Even within Syria , there are people who feel that this war is not theirs.

Syrian NOT Arab
You are correct, it may not happen overnight, but it does come down to an instance in which each individual recognizes the truth of the matter. First, you must stop denying that there is a distinct Syrian nation that predates and that survives the Arab and Islamic invasions. Furthermore, you must recognize that Syria has an indigenous language and teach it. It will unlock the secrets of so many place names. This must be coupled with ending the process of forgering an Arab history that did not exist by changing place names to make them Arabic. Also, it is time… Read more »

Agree, and to strengthen their concepts , I suggest using genetic base. Is conclusive proof that the Syrians are not Arabs . On the other hand it would be good for everyone the emergence of a ” Syrian Academy of Aramaic “

There was an Aramaic academy in the ancient town of Maaloula. The Baathist government shut it down. Do you know why? They complained that the alphabet that they used to teach Aramaic looked too much like Hebrew! What hypocrisy! The Hebrews adopted the Aramaic alphabet for one. More importantly, establishing a claim to Syria based on an Arab identity is weak, a claim on the basis of a Syrian identity is the strongest. Vis-a-vis the Syrian-Israeli conflict, this is what is important. (It is called the Arab-Israeli conflict, except for one problem, no Arabs are fighting Israel. It is Syrians… Read more »

Syria accuses Jordan of sponsoring terrorist groups on its soil Jordan “is fighting Daesh for its own reasons and is not fighting the Nusra Front on its borders,” complained Walid Moallem http://www.latimes.com/world/middleeast/la-fg-syria-jordan-20150210-story.html The Syrian government on Monday issued a scathing rebuke of Jordan, accusing its southern neighbor of sponsoring terrorist groups on Syrian soil despite Amman’s stepped-up aerial bombardment of the militant faction Islamic State. Syria also said it categorically rejects the idea of Jordan or any other nation dispatching ground troops into the country to fight Islamic State, which has overrun large parts of Syria and neighboring Iraq. “I… Read more »

no chance, jordan just do not have the military to invade syria. Only an army about 500.000 can invade syria and they must have the proper equipment and experience. They will also take defeats and huge losses in men power. Which army should do this? Jordan, they should worry not to loose against isil the whole country. ISIL will go for it. It was a very shallow interview by Bowen. There were so many really difficult but intelligent questions that he could have asked but did not, that one must conclude he was feeding a lowest-common-denominater, tabloid type audience.

President Assad handled it with ease. He even make sarcastic fun of Bowen’s obsession with barrel bombs but the latter did not cop on. I do hope this is not the best that the BBC has to offer. If so, they are in serious trouble.

For those interested, Irish ladyboy mentard is a keyboard warrior:

https://twitter.com/CelticMujahid

Doesn’t even have the balls to go fight, but sits behind a keyboard peddling lies and a perverted ideology.

Again, the majority of Syrians support the government and the vastly sunni army against your team, foreign hordes.

Your lies that all syrians want a change but a small insular group around dr. assad mixed with iranian military are cracking down is both laughable and wrong.

LOL, he didn’t, because I don’t even have a Twitter account!

Dudley’s entire body of evidence for this specious claim consists of “Shireen Said a.k.a. Maria Engstrom said so one day about 6 months ago.

But I suppose that is all the proof a CT ‘troofer’ nutbar requires to establish a new nonsensical mythology.

I have naturally never said anything like that “a small insular group around Dr. Assad mixed with Iranian military are cracking down.”

And I suppose that at least a plurality of Syrians do support the government, though it certainly has worked overtime to alienate the population in general.

Good news from the south, SAA and Hizbollah are pushing hard and already liberated several cities and hills, key towns of Kafr Shams and Kafr Nasij being stormed as we speak, passing them there is the super strategic Tall Harra, where SAA used to have an intel post and one of the best positions to hold air defense hardware int he south.
