HOMS: We told you so. The assault on the southwest apron of the City of Palmyra (Tadmur) has begun with Desert Falcons leading the way behind a wall of mechanized armor which includes improved T-72 tanks and over 25 Shilkas. Aerial bombardment of ISIS positions on Al-Hayyaal Mountain which we reported was liberated the day before yesterday has resulted in the deaths of 79 ISIS rodents as born out by ground assessment during clean-up operations. The convoy which was reportedly to arrive to reinforce the rodents inside the city has not arrived and probably will not due to SAAF strafing. It was reported that the largely Iraqi unit has taken to the desert in order to return to Al-Raqqa.
The people inside the city are providing the army with exact coordinates. This should not be surprising to anyone because Syria’s security agencies have been active in recruiting loyal citizens for this purpose and injecting professional technicians to handle this very important aspect of the invasion to liberate the city.
West of Shaa’ir Road: The SAAF destroyed 2 nests operated by ISIS, devastating their fortifications.
Tadmur-Al-Shukhna Road: The SAAF pounced on an ISIS convoy turning it into a necklace of fire. The convoy was heading to ISIS positions outside the city, but, found itself right in the crosshairs of several Sukhoi bombers. The severity of the explosions indicate the trucks were carrying explosives to the rats trapped inside the city. No such luck.
